What can we do about it?
There are several ways in which we can get closer to eradicating colorism. First and foremost, we need to recognize that it is a problem. We need to educate ourselves and the people around us. Secondly, we can create and sign petitions targeting companies that promote skin whitening/fairness creams. Lastly, we can stop supporting celebrities who continue to endorse these products.
